Co-Facilitator Team

Equus Coaching, a unique approach in which a coach partners with horses to help clients realize interpersonal and professional growth, requires important horse co-facilitators. This is a unique offering by Red Clover Leadership. While not a required part of our services, it is a highly recommended experience. Meet the co-facilitation team below!

Jetta Belle – Coach Emeritus

Jetta Belle was born in 1986, and came to our family in 2010. Jetta may be the smallest of our horses, but she is respected as the elder of the herd. Before she became a retiree, Jetta loved speed and was very competitive! The moment she stepped into an arena – she was anxious to take off. Even in her old age, she still shows that spark. She is the sweetest of them all!  Because of her blindness, we don’t have her serve as a coach. However, she has coached and mentored a few young people in her lifetime. We are grateful for that!

Bo – Lead Facilitator

Bo stands the tallest, and very clearly the biggest, amongst our herd. While you would think that would give him the most authority, he actually falls quite low in the pecking order. His size often intimidates initially, however he is the gentlest and quietest of the herd. When Bo was young, he competed as a racehorse. But, because of his mellow demeanor, he wasn’t very competitive, so he got a new role as a “track pony” – the horse that walks the racehorses onto the track. He eventually became a dressage horse. That is how Bo became part of our family. After his dressage life, he has become the horse that everyone wants to ride. He loves rides in the mountains or on the trails. He is a friendly, curious, and a down-right pleasant horse.

Junior – Co-Facilitator

Junior got his name after he came to the ranch as the little brother of another horse we had for many years that is no longer with us. Junior is filled with curiosity and loves sticking his nose into whatever you’re doing (literally). He’s often worried about what the rest of the herd is doing and keeps an especially close eye on Jetta as they have been pasture pals for nearly 15 years.

Red – Co-Facilitator

Red is one of the newest additions to the herd, but he makes himself known as the boss and wasn’t afraid to do it from day one. He was trained as a reining horse so he moves around an arena with ease and grace. He tends to keep to himself, but watches the herd from a distance to ensure he doesn’t need to step in. Red is very quiet, but you feel a sense of power from him.

Dot – Co-Facilitator

Dot is a young lady that came to us from Colorado. She’s spunky and fast, and was trained as a cow horse. If there’s a cow nearby, she’d like to herd it somewhere/anywhere. Dot tends to be a bit skeptical of things initially, but overtime she shows her warm and curious personality (her ears here say it all). Coming from Colorado, she’s thoroughly enjoyed the greener pastures here in Missouri! Within the herd, Dot came in with a sassy attitude, but quickly learned from Bo and Junior that wasn’t the best approach. Overtime, she’s found friends in Jetta and Chexy.

Chexy – Coach in Training

Chexy is one of the the newest to the farm and the youngest. She came to us in August 2022 at just three months old. She could just barely see over the stall door when she arrived. Chexy brings a fun and playful energy to the barn and became close pals with Jetta – though, Jetta may not always appreciate Chexy interrupting her afternoon naps. Chexy is still learning some of the foundational skills. Chexy and Dot, being the youngest, do enjoy energetic laps around the pasture together!

Bella – Co-Facilitator

Bella is the newest to the farm, and as you can see, the smallest! She comes in a pint-size, but she has a big heart and attitude. Standing at only 39″ high, her bigger horse friends initially questioned whether she was a horse or dog, but her vocal chatter convinced them she was one of them. Bella might be heard chatting in the pastures, but is a quiet, sweet little horse with people of all ages and sizes.
